The Internationale Tourismus Borse (ITB) is one of the world’s largest travel and tourism exhibitions held in Berlin from Wednesday 8 – Sunday 12 March 2017. ITB runs for five days and is open to both trade and consumers, with 8-10 March 2017 being open to trade visitors only. The Channel Islands will exhibit at ITB 2017.
In 2016, the event had a record attendance by some 120,000 trade visitors over the five exhibition days. We had over 60 meeting/talks with tour operators, travel agents as well as media on the stand within the five days of the exhibition and we’ve seen an increasing interest from the tour operators to extend their existing programmes but also a number of new operators who would like to set up tour/trips to Jersey in 2017.
Annually the Channel Islands ITB Trade Dinner is held by Jersey and Guernsey, welcoming guests from airlines and tour operators to the event. This dinner is a well-respected tradition held during thethe trade event with guests such as the product managers of TUI Wolters, DERTOUR, Wikinger Reisen, Prima Reisen, Troll Tours, Studiosus Reisen and others in attendance.
