Businesses join forces to bring Jersey a bit of Zest!

Over 40 local businesses have signed up to take part in Zest Hospitality Festival and the Jersey Hospitality Association is encouraging all it’s members to get involved to raise the profile of the industry.

CEO of the Jersey Hospitality Association, Simon Soar said he was really pleased with the response of businesses so far but was looking forward to seeing more coming on board for the festival which takes place on 03 to 06 April.

“Opportunities to show Islanders, visitors and even future employees what a vibrant and diverse industry we have don’t get better than this. I would love to see all our members get involved, whether that is hosting an event or putting on a menu or masterclass. Alongside the involvement from hospitality businesses, we have booked some excellent guests and speakers to join our line-up of events.”

Among the visiting experts announced for the Festival is Mixology guru Myles Cunliffe who is just one of the fantastic guests to look forward to. On Thursday 04 April - a day dedicated to drinks - Myles will be hosting a variety of classes, such as Micro Herbs and Unusual Garnishes.

Showcasing their take on brilliant hospitality, the involvement from hospitality businesses will complement the public events being held at the Weighbridge and tutorials for students at Highlands College. The festival’s itinerary is being released day by day on their Facebook page and Zest is set to bring a buzz of energy across the island.

CEO of the Jersey Hospitality Association, Simon Soar said: “We are also encouraging students and young people to take advantage of Zest Hospitality Festival to learn about the industry. At Highlands College and the Weighbridge we will be hosting a wide range of sessions, such as pastry master classes and fish mongery demonstrations, to offer a closer look at career opportunities available on the island.”
