The Visit Safe Charter has now closed for new registrations.
The Jersey Hospitality Association, the Government of Jersey and Visit Jersey would like to advise all businesses that the decision has been made to close the ‘Visit Safe’ scheme and thank all businesses that participated.
The initiative that launched in 2020 instilled confidence in islanders and visitors to explore the island and effectively addressed risk from COVID-19. It provided additional reassurances for travellers that specific businesses had made the required adaptations in readiness for welcoming back visitors, showing a united approach in putting safety first.
Now that travel restrictions have been removed, businesses are being asked to follow the below outlined actions to ensure the effective collaborative approach to winding down the scheme:
The scheme has closed for new registrations.
Businesses currently signed up are encouraged to remove the logo from all marketing collateral but are not expected to incur costs in doing so and therefore may retain the logo on any printed marketing material currently in use on the understanding this will not be in place beyond the 2022 season.
Remove the logo from website and social media channels on or before 31 May 2022.
