Publish date: 20 Mar 2024

Prepare to immerse yourself in a weekend of style and sophistication as Champagne Taittinger takes centre stage at the AA Five Silver Star Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa next month.

This elegant affair is one of a range of exquisite events taking place to celebrate the Taste Jersey food festival.

Guests will embark on an extraordinary gastronomic experience where every moment is infused with the effervescent charm of Taittinger’s finest Champagnes, all meticulously crafted by a family devoted to perfection.

At Champagne Taittinger, excellence isn’t just a goal; it’s a way of life. Kevin McKee Family Taittinger’s Director says, “Here at Champagne Taittinger, the family strives to create simply the finest Champagnes we can. Each style is unique in its own special way, and we love them all equally, different but the same!”

This extra special weekend provides the opportunity for you to spoil yourself with the ultimate afternoon tea on Saturday 20th April. Indulge in a sumptuous spread featuring smoked salmon potato blinis, Avruga caviar, warm scones with Jersey Black Butter and strawberry jam, all perfectly paired with a glass of Taittinger Brut.

But the decadence doesn’t stop there. Prepare to be dazzled as each mini dessert not only features the delicate tatse of Champagne but also visually captures the essence of luxury in a truely stylish spread. From Champagne and dark chocolate macarons to rhubarb, strawberry and rosé Champagne delights, prepare for a sensory symphony like no other.

Later in the evening of the 20th Kevin will host an exclusive Champagne dinner in the intimate surroundings of fine dining restaurant Tassili. The dishes on the specially created menu each feature an exquisite element of Champagne including flavours such as torched mackerel, cucumber, Jersey rock oyster, dill and Champagne froth; Wild Turbot with sea vegetable, Exmoor Caviar and Champagne beurre blanc, finished with Rhubarb, buttermilk, rosé Champagne and Gariguette strawberry.

To add an extra element of excitement to this exclusive event, one fortunate guest will win the use of a luxury car from prestige motor dealership Jacksons, an overnight stay at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, and a coveted bottle of Taittinger Champagne.

Experience the Extraordinary: From April 19th to 21st, indulge in the Taittinger Champagne afternoon tea for £50 per person, and savour the Champagne dinner for £120 per person.
