Tom Earnshaw Awarded Young Chef of the Year as Bohemia Retains Michelin Star for 2026

Publish date: 10 Feb 2026

Head Chef of Bohemia Restaurant Tom Earnshaw has been recognised as the Michelin Guide’s Young Chef of the Year at the Michelin Guide Ceremony in Dublin, as the restaurant retained its Michelin star for the 22nd consecutive year.

Bohemia, located in The Club Hotel & Spa, has one of the longest continuously held Michelin stars in the UK and is the only starred restaurant in Jersey.

Tom took over as Head Chef in 2025 and becomes the fourth Chef to lead Bohemia’s Kitchen and be awarded a Michelin star since Bohemia’s opening. Like his predecessor, Tom joined Bohemia several years before being promoted to Head Chef, continuing Bohemia’s commitment to not only creating outstanding experiences for guests, but also nurturing a superb team and alumni network, which now includes six chefs that have earned Michelin stars over the course of their careers.

Tom’s recognition as Young Chef of the Year is further proof of Bohemia’s commitment to nurturing culinary talent.

Since stepping into the role last year, Tom has led the kitchen with a calm, confident approach, unveiling new tasting menus rooted in modern European cuisine and driven by the finest Jersey seasonal ingredients from the land and sea.

Tom Earnshaw, Head Chef at Bohemia comments: “To retain a Michelin star for the 22nd year, and in my first year as Head Chef, is an incredible honour. It’s made even more meaningful by the Young Chef of the Year recognition. The restaurant has an extraordinary heritage, and my focus has been on respecting that while continuing to evolve the food in a way that feels relevant, exciting and true to our identity. The star belongs to the whole team for their focus, consistency and ability to create meaningful experiences for our guests.”

Lawrence Huggler, MD of The Club Hotel & Spa and Bohemia adds: “My congratulations go to Tom for this double accolade, which is so well-deserved in only his first year at the helm of Bohemia. Retaining a Michelin star and being recognised as the Young Chef of the Year are truly outstanding achievements and a strong endorsement of the huge commitment shown by Tom and the whole team, including the wonderful front of house team led by Dimitri, who has been with Bohemia since we first gained a Michelin star 22 years ago. I know the entire team continues to push Bohemia forward in its aim to delight and surprise our customers every meal.”

Since opening, Bohemia at The Club Hotel & Spa has helped put Jersey firmly on the gastronomic map as a food-lovers destination. This esteemed award follows Bohemia retaining their place in The Hardens Best 50 UK Restaurants 2026 in December.
