Changes to Jersey Battle of Flowers Parade for 2023

Publish date: 20 Jan 2023

Organisers of the Jersey Battle of Flowers are making changes to the parades in 2023 in response to feedback from spectators and exhibitors.

Whilst the format of the parades along Victoria Avenue will not change, to ensure as many people as possible can see the spectacle, the Grand Day Parade will now take place early evening on Friday 11 August 2023, starting at 5pm.

The Moonlight Parade will then take place the following day on Saturday 12 August 2023, starting at 9pm.

Recently elected Chairman of the Battle of Flowers Board, Russell Labey, explains, “Following this year’s parades we actively engaged with our battle community, including exhibitors to consider new ideas and suggestions, and were delighted with the positive feedback we received. One of these was to hold the two parades over a weekend to allow more people the opportunity of attending. By moving the traditional floral parade to later in the day on the Friday, when not only are temperatures likely to be more favourable, but it may encourage more people to come along straight after work and join in the fun.”

Tickets for both the floral and Moonlight Parades are now on sale via the official website, Jersey Battle of Flowers – with family entry only tickets starting from just £18.
