Since the States approved the acquisition of the land and property of the former Seaside Café at Grève De Lecq in January and agreed to gift the site to the National Trust for Jersey, a hive of activity has taken place during the year including musical concerts, regular yoga, pop up cafes and tabletop sales.
The next event in the calendar takes place this Friday and Saturday, 13th and 14th December with the National Trust’s Christmas Market – raising funds for the Trust’s Coastline Campaign Coastline Campaign – National Trust for Jersey
The market is taking place from 2 – 7pm on Friday 13th and 10am until 5pm on Saturday 14th December. Over 25 stall holders will be selling home made crafts, art and Christmas gifts.
The Ugly Oyster will also be open selling soup and their wonderful seafood as will Hoi Hoi, a local producer selling Dutch pancakes, called Poffertjes, small fluffy bite sized pancakes which are very popular in the Netherlands.
Donna Le Marrec, Marketing and Events Manager said “The National Trust for Jersey has staged many, many festive events over the years, including our wonderful Father Christmas event at 16 New Street, but it will be lovely to offer something a bit different for islanders. We really hope that people come along and enjoy this Christmas market by the sea”.
