DFDS has today [16th October] launched its 24-hour Day Trip Ticket offer, allowing islanders to make more of their break to France, with the option to stay for longer whilst enjoying the same fixed day trip rate.
Customers will now be able to book foot passenger return travel to St Malo from £29 per person, provided that the return sailing falls within a 24-hour period. The offer allows passengers to make greater use of the special day trip fare by staying overnight, soaking up the French culture and authentic cuisine and exploring the surrounding towns and historical sites.
Bookings are now on sale for travel between Friday and Sunday for the remainder of 2025 and throughout 2026.
Chris Parker, DFDS Route Director for Jersey, said: “Through this extension of our day trip offer, we hope more islanders will take up the chance to travel across to St Malo. Our discounted short break trip fare remains the best value for those looking to enjoy two or three nights break, but this product gives islanders yet more flexibility to meet their travel needs.
“With Christmas markets approaching and plenty of festive events to be enjoyed, there are some fantastic reasons to travel to Brittany with loved ones, friends or family for a totally different and exciting winter experience.”
To benefit from the 24-hour Day Trip Ticket offer, customers can book by telephone or online and are advised to select the day trip option on the website, before manually adjusting the return date to the following day and selecting a sailing.
The 24-hour day trip ticket further enhances the value of DFDS’ ferry services to islanders following the announcement of its Early Bird booking discount, offering customers 15% of their ferry travel for 2026 if booked before 2 March 2026.
