Luxury Hotel Partners with Sleep Specialist to Champion a Good Night’s Sleep

Publish date: 09 Sep 2024

Local luxury hotel Longueville Manor, part of the exclusive Relais & Châteaux hotel group, is offering islanders and visiting guests alike a unique experience to raise awareness and support healthy sleep.

By partnering with local registered Psychotherapist and Sleep Specialist Lydia Falle, they are hoping that those taking part in the ‘Sleep Easy’ experience will learn more about their sleep patterns, healthy sleep practice, and get the chance to reset and reinforce positive sleeping habits. All the sleep support will be based on the latest understandings in neuroscience, psychology and evidenced-based tools and techniques, including CBT-I.

Lydia, who is based in Jersey, uses a human needs-based approach to working with sleep difficulties, has a Masters in Psychological Research Methods and has further training in CBT-I from the University of Oxford’s Sleep and Circadian Rhythm Institute. CBT-I is the first line of treatment recommended by many international clinical guidelines, including NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence).

Lydia’s fascination with sleep grew from seeing many presentations of various sleep disturbances in her work as the resident Psychotherapist for Jersey Women’s Health Hub and she subsequently founded The Sleep Clinic, a dedicated service to help people find restful sleep without medication.

Longueville Manor are delighted to offer their hotel as the partnership destination for the Sleep Easy experience, running October 2024 to March 2025 and have created a special 2-night package for those taking part. This includes accommodation in a Deluxe Garden View room, a full English breakfast each morning, three-course ‘A la carte’ dining each evening and of course a full consultation with Lydia on the first day, plus later follow up, to help educate and maximise positive sleep habits.

The Sleep Easy experience also includes 2 one-hour spa treatments to encourage complete body and mind relaxation, and a selection of complimentary wellness-based treats and gifts to enjoy, from luxury pampering products to special sleep teas.

Longueville Manor owner, Malcolm Lewis said “The importance of a good night’s sleep can never be underestimated, and we’re excited to partner with Lydia Falle on the Sleep Easy experience. We want to help people understand what it takes to create proper and meaningful healthy sleep habits. Lydia’s years of expertise and skills in this area, paired with the calm and beautiful surroundings of Longueville Manor, make this the perfect opportunity to give yourself a bit of a reset and prioritise good health.”
