Patrick Burke Named Hotelier of the Month by the Independent Hotel Show London

Publish date: 15 Jul 2025

The Atlantic Hotel is delighted to announce that Patrick Burke, Owner and Managing Director, has been named Hotelier of the Month by the prestigious Independent Hotel Show London.

This national recognition celebrates those making a significant contribution to the independent hospitality sector. Patrick’s longstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to both The Atlantic Hotel and the island’s visitor economy were central to his selection.

The Atlantic recently had the pleasure of hosting the Independent Hotel Show team in Jersey, where they interviewed Patrick for the feature. The interview provided the perfect opportunity to share The Atlantic’s story, reflect on the evolution of the business, and shine a spotlight on Jersey as a luxury travel destination.

In the interview, Patrick speaks about the challenges and triumphs of running a hotel in Jersey and the vital role that tourism plays in the island’s economy. He said: “Our challenge has always been getting people to come to Jersey for the first time. Not getting them to return, because once they’ve been, they love the hotel, they love the island, and they realise just how much depth there is here.”

The feature provided valuable exposure for both The Atlantic Hotel and Jersey as a whole, helping to reach a new audience through the respected Independent Hotel Show platform.

Patrick commented on this recognition: “It’s an honour to be recognised by the Independent Hotel Show. I’m passionate about both The Atlantic and Jersey, and it was a real pleasure to speak about our family’s journey and what makes this island such a special place for visitors.”
