BLUE ISLANDS SIGNS PARTNERSHIP DEAL WITH SOUTHAMPTON FC

Publish date: 09 Aug 2023

Blue Islands is partnering with Southampton Football Club in an exciting collaboration that will promote Jersey and Guernsey to the club’s fanbase and followers.

Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands said, “We are excited to announce our collaboration with Southampton FC, to showcase the Channel Islands to its fans and those visiting St Mary’s. Both Jersey and Guernsey make perfect short break destinations easily accessed from Southampton Airport.”

Blue Islands will become a Regional Partner of Southampton Football Club during the 2023/24 EFL Championship season. Together with promoting Jersey and Guernsey to Southampton FC’s fanbase and followers, Blue Islands also has exclusive competitions planned for its customers in Jersey and Guernsey too, as the airline also looks forward to supporting Southampton Football Club’s soccer schools in the Channel Islands.

Rob added, “Southampton is an integral part of our network, with up to seven flights a day from Southampton to the Islands. The Channel Islands are a world away that are close to home; this is a great opportunity to highlight the many reasons to visit Jersey and Guernsey to the club’s followers over the next season.”

Charlie Boss, Chief Commercial Officer, Southampton Football Club, said: “With this partnership we are not only teaming up with a thriving local business that plays a big role in connecting our community. We are also demonstrating our commitment to creating inclusive and affordable experiences for our supporters – whether that’s travel with Blue Islands, or our recent decision to reduce season ticket prices.”
