We are delighted to have been nominated for the International Travel and Tourism Awards (ITTA) 2018 for our ‘Shoreditch to Shoreline’ campaign.
This award recognises an organisation within the travel industry that has a well implemented strategy to successfully market its products or services using digital technologies, mainly the internet, but also mobile technology, social media, online advertising, and other digital mediums.
Our ‘Shoreditch to Shoreline’ experiential was all about proudly bringing our product to market. Over 70% of our visitors are from the UK and, with 11 daily flights departing from London to Jersey, the capital is a key target market for us. This was activated with a social media video which saw a Jersey sunset streamed live into a pub in Shoreditch in London, reactions were filmed and a social video produced highlighting the difference between having a sundowner in London compared to Jersey.
Our brand proposition ‘the island break’ offers a fresh, vital escape from city living and what better way to capture this than with a perfect Jersey sunset, streamed from shoreline to trendy Shoreditch. This prestigious nomination celebrates the hard work of the Visit Jersey team and island partners to help the world fall in love with Jersey.
The award will be announced at the awards ceremony at World Travel Market in London on Tuesday 6th November.
