With triathlon growing exponentially around the globe and on-island, the Accuro Jersey Triathlon is all set to welcome some six hundred triathletes, from novices through to Commonwealth Games level athletes, to the event on Sunday 01 July 2018. The Jersey Triathlon is delighted to welcome back Accuro as headline sponsor and organisers are confident that, with the continued support of Accuro, the Jersey Triathlon can attract even more competitors to the event from overseas as well as enhance the overall event experience for local competitors.
Paul Douglas, MD of Accuro Trust in Jersey commented:
“Having been the title sponsors for the last three years, we are delighted to have seen the event grow from strength to strength. Jersey is now recognised as a key destination for this sport with the Accuro Jersey Triathlon in its sixth year since the re-brand and relocation to St. Helier and with the Super League Triathlon having committed to the island for a further five years. The Accuro Jersey Triathlon provides a platform for triathletes, whether they are beginners or seasoned athletes, to test themselves on a challenging course which brings in some of Jersey’s most beautiful scenery. The multi‐disciplined nature of the sport, the fact that it is inclusive of all generations of families, encourages teamwork and generally promotes well-being and good health resonates well with the ethos of our business”.
Andrew Thomas, Managing Director of 3D Events and organiser of the event says:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Accuro back as headline sponsor of the event. Accuro share our vision to produce a national standard triathlon event here in Jersey, capable of attracting people of all ages and abilities from both on and off-island. Also, like us, they are passionate about the continued growth of this local sporting event for the benefit of our community, economy and official charity The Oscar Maclean Foundation".
