Greenhills recognised among Tripadvisor’s Best Hotels in the UK

Publish date: 09 Jun 2026

Greenhills Country House Hotel has once again secured its place among the UK’s finest hotels, ranking 11th in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best Hotels 2026 and standing as the only hotel in the Channel Islands to achieve this prestigious recognition.

The Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best distinction represents the highest level of excellence in travel. Based entirely on genuine guest reviews and ratings collected over a 12-month period, the award celebrates properties that consistently deliver exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences. Of the more than eight million listings on Tripadvisor worldwide, fewer than 1% receive this accolade.

The recognition not only highlights Greenhills’ continued commitment to excellence but also reinforces Jersey’s reputation as a world-class visitor destination. As the sole Channel Islands representative in the ranking, Greenhills is helping to showcase the Island on a national and international stage, demonstrating the quality of hospitality experiences available in Jersey.

Nestled in the heart of Jersey’s picturesque countryside, Greenhills continues to earn praise from guests for its warm hospitality, exceptional service and tranquil setting. Under the leadership of General Manager Carmelita Fernandes and her dedicated team, the hotel has built a reputation for creating memorable stays that inspire guests to return year after year.
The hotel’s continued success reflects its commitment to excellence across every aspect of the guest experience. Alongside its reputation for outstanding accommodation and service, Greenhills remains one of Jersey’s leading dining destinations, proudly holding two AA Rosettes and retaining its place in the MICHELIN Guide.

“We are absolutely delighted to receive this recognition once again from Tripadvisor,” said Carmelita Fernandes, General Manager.

“To be ranked among the very best hotels in the UK and to be the only hotel in the Channel Islands included in this year’s list is an incredible achievement. We are also proud to have been recognised as Jersey’s number one hotel for the fifth consecutive year.

“This award is especially meaningful because it is based entirely on feedback from our guests. It reflects the passion, dedication and care shown by every member of our team every day, and we are incredibly grateful to our guests for their continued support.

“We are also proud that this recognition helps shine a spotlight on Jersey as a destination. Every accolade of this kind helps raise the Island’s profile and demonstrates the outstanding hospitality experiences that visitors can enjoy here.”
