All aboard! We are pleased to announce the launch of Condor Ferries’ winter schedule for the period 01 November 2023 to 20 March 2024. This exciting news brings a plethora of new opportunities, as the trees start to change their hue and we enter into the autumn and winter seasons.
At the same point this timetable sets sail, Condor will make its latest introduction to the fleet – The Condor Islander. The Islander will be joining the roster as a passenger and freight vessel; operating alongside the Commodore Clipper and their high-speed ships – the Condor Liberation and Condor Voyager.
The Islander will have a maximum capacity of 400 passengers, and operate with overnight cabins suitable for one, two and four passengers. Condor is also installing a restaurant, brasserie and a duty-free shop for their latest recruit, ensuring a happy crossing to our sunny slice of paradise.
Additionally, for the first time there will be six pet-friendly cabins on-board allowing passengers to bring their furry friends to designated areas on the ship and to stretch their legs on the outside deck.
This is some fantastic news, improving Jersey’s attractiveness to visitors seeking a pet-friendly destination.
Key points to note in respect of the Winter Schedule:
- The Condor Islander will operate six overnight services each week to Guernsey and Jersey from Portsmouth. Three of these sailings will call into Guernsey first and three will call into Jersey first (tides permitting!).
- The Condor Islander will operate an inter-island service in the mornings and the Commodore Clipper inter-island in the evenings, providing a boost to inter-island connectivity.
- Services between the UK and the Channel Islands will be predominantly operated by the Commodore Clipper and the Condor Islander from November through to January. This is to cover scheduled, extended dry-dock maintenance for the Condor Liberation, which will be out of action during this period.
- St. Malo Port will be closed from 08 January to 19 February 2024 for extensive port maintenance. Condor will therefore operate to Cherbourg instead during this period. This provides an opportunity for departing passengers to experience a new part of Normandy this winter.
