20th October was officially set up as “World Calvados Day” in 2021, by Avallen et le Difford’s Guide.
Every year, Normandie Attractivité, the Normandy promotion agency, and the Interprofession des Appellations Cidricoles (IDAC), which federates distilleries, joined forces with the wide network of “Norman Ambassadors” worldwide to give even more scope to this international day.
In Jersey, for the second year, David Hick Interiors kindly agreed to welcome the event within its showroom kitchens area at St Lawrence. People will have the opportunity to enjoy Calvados & apple-based drinks and some nibbles provided by Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche.
Other companies and institutions are also joining the event this year:
- Beresford Street Kitchen (As the chosen charity for David Hick Interiors, all donations will go to BSK)
- Ganache (don’t miss the opportunity to buy some of the beautiful Ganache’s chocolates in the
afternoon) - Bruno’s bakery
- Cocorico
Finally, to add to the French feel of the day, we’ll have a static display of the All-New Renault Austral E-Tech Full Hybrid SUV – Courtesy of Bagot Road Garage Ltd.
