Jersey War Tunnels rolls out partnership with EVie

Publish date: 09 Sep 2024

Jersey War Tunnels, one of Jersey’s leading visitor attractions, is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with local business EVie.

Starting this month visitors to Jersey War Tunnels will have access to EVie’s innovative A2B service, allowing them to rent electric vehicles (EVs) directly from the site. Jersey War Tunnels is the first visitor attraction on the island to roll out this service, reinforcing its commitment to visitor convenience and sustainability.

The A2B service by EVie offers visitors unprecedented versatility by allowing one-way rentals of electric vehicles. Users can pick up an EVie vehicle at the Jersey War Tunnels and drop it off at another designated location across the island. This one-way flexibility is ideal for visitors who want the convenience of a hire vehicle without the need to return it to the original location.

A2B vehicles are strategically placed at key locations throughout the island, ensuring accessibility and ease of use for both visitors and locals. EVie’s A2B service is designed to be an affordable transportation option, with rates starting at just £10 per hour or £50 for a full day (24 hours). Despite the compact size of the vehicles, they offer practical space for two passengers and a surprising amount of cargo room, making it an ideal choice for island excursions. In the initial phase, four dedicated A2B spaces will be available at Jersey War Tunnels, with the potential to expand based on demand. The vehicles are easily identifiable by their distinct branding and blue-painted parking spaces, ensuring a seamless experience for users.

Damian Warman, General Manager at Jersey War Tunnels, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, “We are incredibly proud to be one of the first attractions on the island to offer EVie’s A2B service. This partnership not only enhances convenience for our visitors but also aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability. We’re excited to introduce this innovative and eco-friendly transportation option, making it easier than ever for people to explore our island while contributing to a greener future.”

Nick Perchard-Rees, CEO of EVie, said, “As one of our island’s most popular attractions, Jersey War Tunnels is an ideal location for EVie to offer our A2B service. Visitors can now pick up one of our vehicles, off-hire it when they arrive, and then rehire it when they’re ready to leave. This not only offers significant cost savings, as users only pay for the hours they need, but with our fully electric fleet, also aligns with our island’s commitment to reducing transport emissions and with the cost of living rising, EVie is focused on making travel more affordable and sustainable for everyone.”
