Longueville Manor receives prestigious Relais & Châteaux Heritage Trophy
Publish date: 02 Dec 2024
Longueville Manor is one of 580 luxury hotels across the globe that form the esteemed Relais & Châteaux hotel group, and it was the sole Channel Islands member that was handed the Heritage Trophy at the group’s recent annual conference in Paris. This award, sponsored by Tattinger, recognised the Jersey hotel for its passion for hospitality, collective expertise and exceptional service. It also noted the longevity of Longueville Manor’s team and praised the diversity of its talent, as well as the commitment of its longest serving members in passing on their expertise to the next generation.
The Relais & Châteaux Heritage Trophy follows another momentous achievement for Longueville Manor, as it became the first Channel Islands recipient of a Michelin Key in October. The Michelin Key recognises the most outstanding hotels in the same way that the Michelin Star identifies the crème de la crème of restaurants.
The AA guide also ranks Longueville Manor amongst the top hotels in the UK, presenting it with the highest rating of 5 Red Stars this year, and every year since 2008. It is the only hotel in the Channel Islands to achieve this top rating, along with the 3 AA Rosettes awarded to its renowned restaurant.
Longueville Manor owner, Malcolm Lewis, reflected on such a successful year for the hotel: “We are overjoyed to have received such incredible recognition, and these awards have made our 75th Anniversary even more special. I cannot be prouder of our loyal team and our success is a reflection of their passion, dedication and exceptionally high standards. It is an honour to be a member of Relais & Châteaux hotel group, so we were delighted to be chosen for the Heritage Trophy for preserving the traditions of hospitality.”
Rather than taking time to enjoy this year’s achievements, Mr Lewis is keen not to get complacent. He added: “Now it’s time to look forward, continue to challenge ourselves and reach new heights, and we’re very excited about the future of Longueville Manor Hotel & Restaurant.”
