Premier Holidays has launched a big Channel Islands summer campaign after seeing a strong demand since the general election was announced. The operator’s bookings for the Channel Islands have increased by 18 per cent year on year since the election announcement was made on April 18th.
To meet an increase in demand for Channel Islands holidays, the operator has unveiled a selection of special offers to Jersey and Guernsey valid for travel throughout the summer months and into early autumn. The campaign also features last minute deals for travel in May. Ideal for family holidays or long weekends away, the offers include added value from free half board to free room upgrades. Jersey is an island shaped by the sea where some of the most astonishing tides in the world circle the coast and feed the land. It’s an island that’s small on size, but big on personality, where country lanes open to cliff top views and the sea is never more than ten minutes away.
Travel agents can earn £5 in shopping vouchers for every inclusive Channel Islands booking. Posters and jpeg images showcasing the range of activities and sights on both islands are available to download from Premier’s website to enable agents to promote the campaigns in their branches and on social media. As part of the build up to the campaign, Premier Holidays held two fam trips to Jersey in March and April for agents who had never visited the island. Feedback was extremely positive, with agents feeling more confident in selling Jersey and what it has to offer clients.
Tactical offers included in the summer campaign range from short breaks such as a three-night stay at the 4* Pomme D’or hotel in Jersey from £299pp, to a seven-night holiday with free half board at Jersey’s Norfolk hotel from £499pp.
Premier Holidays has also rolled out tactical offers for luxurious breaks to Jersey and Guernsey, valid for travel later in the year in October, November and December. This includes four nights at the 5* Grand Hotel and Spa, Jersey, from £319pp.
Dave Kneale, National Sales Manager at Premier Holidays, said: “Our UK portfolio has definitely been selling well this year; we are focusing heavily on our core Channel Islands product and giving it a big push for the summer months. With all the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, the general election and other worldwide events, the Channel Islands make the ideal stay-at-home holiday for families and couples, while providing a Continental feeling at the same time.”
