Overnight domestic tourism in England

After a protracted hiatus caused by data processing issues, Visit England has now released data on the volume of overnight tourism by GB residents within England during 2016.  Data on visitor spending is expected in due course.

March Passenger Arrivals Data

Figures are now available showing the number of passengers arriving in Jersey during March.  Easter fell in April this year but was in late March in 2016, meaning that these results will be slightly less positive than would have been the case were Easter not to have shifted.

Q1 highlights

Independent tour operator Premier Holidays invited 12 travel agents to discover Jersey and what it has to offer during an educational trip to the island break.  

Condor update spring 2017

Condor’s first update of 2017 coincides with some lovely spring weather and a feeling of optimism for a successful season. Over the shoulder months, Condor have been working closely with Visit Jersey, Visit Guernsey and other trade partners.

March 2017 Weather Round-Up

The day-to-day weather has very little impact on the volume of visits to Jersey, but can play a major role in influencing the types of activities that visitors who are here do, and thereby, the amount of money that they spend.  Some attractions and activity providers thrive only when the sun shines, others see higher patronage on rainy days.

Jersey Sport “Match Ready”

The Shadow Board of Jersey Sport expressed its delight that the Proposition to trigger the launch of the new organisation has been lodged. States Members will now have the chance to discuss and vote on the Proposition, tabled by Assistant Minister with responsibility for Sport, Connetable Steve Pallett, in May.
