Jersey announces full removal travel restrictions

Publish date: 01 Feb 2022

PCR testing, isolation requirements and all pre-departure travel forms to be removed for arriving passengers into Jersey from Monday 7th February.

Visit Jersey has confirmed that all current requirements under Jersey’s Safer Travel policy will be suspended, with a return to unrestricted, pre-pandemic inbound travel arrangements. From Monday 7th February, all visitors to the island will no longer need to take a PCR test or isolate on arrival; travellers will no longer need to complete a pre-departure travel form before arriving in Jersey.

The removal of travel restrictions makes it one of the most easily accessible destinations in the world right now. The return to pre-pandemic travel means that visitors can enjoy all the unique experiences and curiosities that Jersey provides such as sipping rosé wine in the most southernly vineyard in the British Isles to exploring our harbourside villages with a whisper of French ambiance.

With new experiences, such as refurbishment of The Moorings Hotel and Restaurant in Gorey, a second 122-room Premier Inn set to open in February 2022, and an influx of world class dining and cocktail spots, including Awabi, the Watchmaker and Upstairs at Anley Street, Jersey is ready to welcome holidaymakers into 2022 and continue the surge in demand.

Amanda Burns, Chief Executive Officer of Visit Jersey, said: “With the complete removal of PCR testing and isolation for travellers to the island, it means Jersey is simple to book and easily accessible. From spring to summer and autumn, Jersey is the perfect destination for the year ahead – from tasting the first of the Jersey Royals, dolphin spotting on a RIB trip to an archipelago or exploring the great outdoors, there’s some great offers and experiences to enjoy.”

Travel to Jersey from over 20 UK departure points, by air and ferry in less than an hour. Visitors can escape to a destination that blends familiar English environments with a dash of European flair, creating a unique experience of rich countryside and breath-taking coastal views, sweeping beaches and hidden-away bays.
