The Marina Industries Association (MIA) launched its Superyacht Ready accreditation in 2022, to help skippers and owners identify marinas that have the capacity and capabilities required to provide safe and adequate berthing for superyachts. Superyacht Ready is available to Global Gold Anchor accredited marinas that satisfy the programme’s assessment standards. The criteria are based on the suitability of the marina’s infrastructure to accommodate superyachts, accessibility for superyachts, security measures and service availability.
Customer Experience Manager for Jersey Marinas, Michel Le Moine, said:
“Jersey Marinas are delighted to be awarded accreditation as Superyacht Ready. This complements our Five Gold Anchor award for our Marinas, and it assures superyacht owners and their agents a level of service that will help make Jersey a preferred destination.”
Superyachts berth at marinas for a variety of reasons and different durations. The style, location and facilities required at the marina will vary depending on the reason for berthing and who is on board, whether that be the owners, charterers, or the crew. Superyacht Ready indicates that the marina is equipped to provide berthing for a superyacht and the Gold Anchor rating highlights the facilities available at the marina, the service levels and the overall ambiance.
