Les Ormes invests ‘One Million Pounds’ in a new indoor Activity Centre opening July 2019.
Les Ormes’ new Activity Centre, opening in July 2019, will offer Jersey exciting activities and adventures for everyone to enjoy. Jersey will now have its first Trampoline Park, along with climbing walls, Ninja Warrior Course and large multi-age soft play structures. This indoor Activity Centre is creating something the Island needs and what the people of Jersey have been asking for. It also supports the Government’s ‘Fit for the Future’ strategic plan, being led by Jersey Sport, to increase island-wide levels of physical activity.
Activities Manager, Nathan Maguire, stated: ‘The Activity Centre will offer fun, fitness, mental stimulation and adventure all year round. The Centre will also offer school holiday activity weeks, adult and toddler sessions, birthday parties, corporate events and specific sessions for mentally and physically disabled children by our trained staff.’
The Soccer Dome will close in March 2019 for work to commence on the Activity Centre. Nathan added: ‘Over the last 2 years, there has been an increase in the number of artificial pitches in Jersey and this has had an effect on the usage of Les Ormes Soccer Dome. The new Activity Centre will increase the number of people using our facilities.’
The Bosdet Foundation, owner of Les Ormes, is a charitable trust and this year donated over £300,000 to the local community supporting local charities and non-profit organisations with profits from Les Ormes. Managing Director Mike Graham said: ‘For some years now, our charitable focus has been on children. Apart from the fantastic leisure opportunities this new Activity Centre will give local children, the equipment, along with allocated time, is being ring-fenced to support numerous charitable groups on the Island.’
Les Ormes has also recently launched their new website showcasing their location near some of Jersey's gorse-clad coastline.
