Working in partnership with Jersey Heritage, Tiffin Group are to create a new eating and drinking experience at Jersey Museum. What was The Merchant House Brasserie will become The Museum Courtyard Bar and Bistro and include Expressions Cafe by Tiffin. It opens in Spring 2018.
A considerable investment has been made in opening up the interior, making it more attractive, inclusive and relaxing for visitors. The aim is to create a space that is able to showcase artifacts of interest whilst allowing discussion with friends and colleagues over a cup of coffee or tasty meal. The ever popular courtyard will continue to cater for food and drink in a relaxed style.
The Museum lobby area and former Brasserie are currently in the middle of major refurbishment with work scheduled to finish mid-March. A scheduled re-opening is set towards the end of March. This is a major step forward in the development of The Jersey Museum creating a top tourist attraction and interesting meeting place for islanders.
Tiffin Operations Director, Jyles Robillard-Day said:
"The opportunity to create something very special with Jersey Heritage at such a key location was very exciting. It makes perfect sense when compared to how successfully other Museums in the UK and Europe have been in developing this concept. It’s great to see Jersey Museum's vision and a pleasure to work with the Jersey Heritage team to bring it to reality. We look forward to showcasing The Museum Courtyard Bar and Bistro in the Spring."
