Methodology update: In 2025, the Exit Surveys methodology was refined to provide the most accurate possible reflection of visitor numbers. A new weighting approach was introduced to better account for flight scheduling and the balance between residents and visitors. October 2025 Summary
- Visits: An estimated 32,800 visits were made in October 2025, down 12,900 compared with October 2024. The 18% year-to-date decline is driven by drops from April through to October, while visits from January to March remained flat year-over-year. Note that the half-term week commenced on 27 Oct in 2025, whereas it was earlier in 2024 (20 Oct).
- Bed Nights and Length of Stay: Visitor nights fell by 27,300 in October and were down 11% year-to-date to October. The average length of stay was 4.7 nights year-to-date to October, up from 4.4 nights over the same period in 2024.
- Passengers: In October 2025, 72,700 passengers departed Jersey, a 7,200 decline from the previous year.
Counting of Visits: The statistics represent the number of visits or passenger journeys, not the number of unique individuals. Therefore, individuals who travel multiple times within the reporting period are counted on each occasion.
Estimates and Rounding: These figures are estimates derived from sample surveys and are subject to sampling variability. The data are rounded to the nearest 100 to reflect the inherent uncertainty. As a result, the sum of individual components may not precisely match the reported totals.

Jersey received an estimated 32,800 visits in October 2025, 12,900 fewer than in October 2024 (-28%).
This included:
- Overnight stays: 31,200 (-9,700)
- Day visits: 1,600 (-3,200)
By travel type:
- By air: 28,600 (-5,700)
- By sea: 4,200 (-7,200)
There were an estimated 15,800 overnight leisure visits in October 2025, 8,800 fewer than in October 2024.
Year-to-date to October 2025
An estimated 424,400 visits to Jersey were made in the year to October 2025, 93,300 fewer than in 2024 (-18%).
This included:
- Overnight stays: 379,800 (-16% or -74,600)
- Day visits: 44,500 (-30% or -18,600)
By travel type:
- By air: 303,400 (-13% or -45,700)
- By sea: 121,000 (-28% or -47,500)
By purpose of visit:
- Leisure: 251,300 (-27% or -92,200)
- Visiting friends/relatives: 88,100 ( -8% or -7,500)
- Business: 54,900 (+20% or +9,300)
- Other: 30,000 (-9% or -2,900)
By country of residence:
- United Kingdom: 303,200 (-14% or -48,100)
- France: 47,500 (-45% or -38,800)
- Other Channel Islands: 26,200 (-20% or -6,600)
