Manche Iles Express is proud to announce the restart of its service for the season 2022 after being on hold for two years due to the pandemic. Both its vessels the Victor Hugo (236 seats) and the Granville (245 seats) will provide regular services from the end of April to the end of September 2022.
Bookings are now open and ferry schedules can be seen online: www.manche-iles.com/en/
And with the restart of the service, some changes are to be noted:
- a new company (DNO) was created, in 2021, to operate the Manche îles Express lines,
- arrival and departure will now be at the Elizabeth Terminal instead of the Albert Pier!
This 2022 season will also bring a new challenge, the effects of the passport requirement for passengers.
Some adjustments were made with revised planning to anticipate a drop in the passengers from France (a survey from the company showed that about 40 to 50% of the continental cliental using the service don’t have a passport) but the company hopes to increase its service in the future.
Manche Iles Express operates a Normandy – Channel Islands and inter-island ferry connection since 2005. Since 2014, the French shipping company Manche Iles Express has been operating a regular ferry service between Jersey and Guernsey with the vessel to cover the day trippers market from April to September.
NOTE TO MEDIA:
Jersey media are invited to a press conference:
Thursday 28 April 2022, at Elizabeth Terminal (St Helier Harbour) at 9.15am DNO, which operates the Manche îles Express Service, will present its planning for 2022 as well as its new setup within the Elizabeth Terminal.
