Independent tour operator Premier Holidays hosted a series of training workshops to help travel agents learn more about the Channel Islands.
Fifty agents from 21 travel agencies attended the training sessions over two days in Exeter and Southampton, held in conjunction with Visit Jersey.
During the events, agents were treated to dinner and a presentation from Visit Jersey, giving them an overview of the island. A further four presentations took place by a number of Jersey hotels including Longueville Manor, The Mayfair, The Grand in Jersey and L’Horizon.
As a thank you to those who attended, Premier Holidays put on a competition at the end of the training for agents to win shopping vouchers, restaurant vouchers and cinema tickets.
Dave Kneale, national sales manager at Premier Holidays, who hosted the event with short haul general manager Beverley Scarr, said: “The training provided an opportunity to enhance agents’ knowledge of Jersey and to help them sell the destination.”
