August 2026 and Year-to-Date Summary
- Visitors: Total visitors were +7% in August 2026 vs last year, with year-to-date visitors +1%. Overnight leisure visits continued to grow, +7% in August 2026 and +9% year-to-date. Sea visits were +8% in August 2026, though year-to-date total sea visitors are -2%, while total air visitors were +2% year-to-date.
- Total Passengers: Total departing passengers were +3% in August 2026 vs 2025 and +3% year-to-date.
- Sea Passengers: Total sea departing passengers were +3% year-to-date to August 2026, with St Malo +8%, and Portsmouth +14%. Those increases were offset by decreases of -15% for Granville, -21% for Carteret and -56% for cruise, with Poole also -2%.
- Bed Nights and Length of Stay: Total bed nights were -5% in August 2026 vs 2025. The average length of stay was 5.0 nights in August 2026, vs 5.5 nights in 2025.
Counting of Visits:Â The statistics represent the number of visits or passenger journeys, not the number of unique individuals. Therefore, individuals who travel multiple times within the reporting period are counted on each occasion.
Estimates and Rounding:Â These figures are estimates derived from sample surveys and are subject to sampling variability. The data are rounded to the nearest 100 to reflect the inherent uncertainty. As a result, the sum of individual components may not precisely match the reported totals.

There were an estimated 79,900 visitors to Jersey in August 2026, +7% (+4,900) vs August 2025. Overnight leisure visits totalled 51,800 in August, +7% vs August 2025 (+3,400).

An estimated 333,200 visitors to Jersey were made in the year-to-date to August 2026, +1% (+3,100) vs 2025. Overnight leisure visits totalled 190,200 year-to-date to August, +9% vs 2025 (+15,800).
