May 2026 Summary
- Visits: Overnight leisure visits increased by 4,800 in May (+18% vs 2025) and were up 15% year to date to 67,300. Total visits were down slightly (-1%) in May and were also slightly down year to date (-1%) due to a fall in day visitors (-60%). Air visits were up 3% year to date, offset by a fall in sea visitors (-13%).
- Bed Nights and Length of Stay: There were 204,000 bed nights in May 2026, 3,500 fewer than May 2025. The average length of stay was 4.1 nights, decreasing from 4.6 nights over the same period in 2025.
- Passengers: In May 2026, 99,200 passengers departed Jersey, 6,000 more than the previous year. Departing passengers were up 2% year to date.

This included:
- Overnight stays: 49,200 (+4,300)
- Day visits: 3,200 (-4,700)
By travel type:
- By air: 35,600 (+1,200)
- By sea: 16,800 (-1,600)
Overnight leisure visits totalled 31,800 in May, up 4,800.

An estimated 141,000 visits to Jersey were made in the year to May 2026, 1,100 fewer than in 2025 (-1%).
This included:
- Overnight stays: 130,400Â (+15% or +8,500)
- Day visits: 10,400 (-43% or -8,000)
By travel type:
- By air: 109,900 (+3% or +3,300)
- By sea: 30,900 (-13% or -4,400)
By purpose of visit:
- Leisure: 71,300 (+3% or +2,000)
- Visiting friends/relatives: 33,800 (unchanged)
