Premier Host CI Training Event Cardiff Travel Agents

Publish date: 07 Jun 2017

Independent tour operator Premier Holidays recently hosted a group of agents in Cardiff for a Channel Islands training event.

More than 30 agents attended the evening, which saw a number of hotel suppliers from Jersey and Guernsey fly over especially for the event including Longueville Manor, The Atlantic and Hand Picked Hotels. It was hosted by Premier Holidays’ short haul general manager Beverley Scarr and national sales manager Carly Charteris to help the operator’s key agents learn more about how to sell both islands.

The training event took place in Cardiff to celebrate the launch of the new service to Guernsey from Cardiff Airport, and to promote how clients can fly to Jersey and Guernsey from the Welsh city.

After a champagne reception, agents took part in a series of round robin sessions where they spent time with each hotel supplier, who gave a mini presentation on their product and what they can offer.

Agents were also treated to dinner and had the chance to win prizes, including breaks to Jersey and Guernsey.

Beverley Scarr, short haul general manager at Premier, said: “It was a successful event and the agents were delighted to have the opportunity to speak to the hotels directly. Afterwards, they all felt more confident in selling Jersey and Guernsey to clients in Cardiff and surrounding areas.”
