Our Success Stories
In June 2019, Visit Jersey partnered with Strava, the social media network for athletes on the Jersey Runcation. The challenge secured over 30,000 participants and 10,000 data capture. The activity generated a 14% increase in off-island marathon visitors year-on-year, and delivered and incremental spend of over £275,000, achieving an ROI of 10:1. The partnership enabled Jersey to capitalise on a niche product opportunity to act as a catalyst for Jersey’s tourism development. Underpinned by bookable experiences and inspirational storytelling, the app connected Visit Jersey with passionate communities in the place that they gather.
Top Gear France
Visit Jersey partnered with Top Gear France in winter 2018 on the French National TV station RMC Découverte, and to the Belgian market through RTL. Visit Jersey secured cast and crew bookings on recces and for the filming of the episode. Following the broadcast, Visit Jersey launched activity which welcomed viewers to enter a competition with the opportunity to win an island break perfect for fans of the show. The episode received over 650K viewers on National French TV Channel RMC Découverte, and the competition generated over 10,000 entries.
As part of Jersey’s autumn campaign 2017, Visit Jersey ran a partnership with Secret Escapes in collaboration with Barbour. The brand was profiled on Secret Escape’s inspirational Jersey autumn hub with digital activation. The campaign worked on the premise of ‘win a holiday to Jersey and your autumn collection’.
JoJo Maman Bébé
In spring 2018 we collaborated with UK mother and baby boutique JoJo Maman Bébé, in return for hosting their summer catalogue shooting. We supported with sourcing models, identifying film locations, providing accommodation. In return, we promoted Jersey as a visitor destination through JoJo Maman Bébé’s channels. This included digital activation across web, social, email and print catalogue coverage. and the opportunity to win a holiday to Jersey.
The activity received an 87% recall rate. Over 90% felt it made them thing Jersey is a great place to visit for families with young children. With a nominal investment of £3,000 on Visit Jersey’s side, an incremental spend of £46,000 and delivered an ROI of 15:1
Landrover worked in partnership with Spark 44 and local production company Slingshot Films to create the advert featuring Jack Whitehall, alongside his dad Michael, in the style of their Netflix show ‘Jack Whitehall: Travels with my Father’. The content is fun and spirited – exactly what Jersey is about. Visit Jersey capitalised on the Land Rover advert by enticing visitors to plan their own ‘epic detour’ to the island.
