Visit Jersey Board Appoints New Non-Executive Directors

The Visit Jersey Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Claire Bentley and Daniel Rowles, as Non-Executive Directors to replace board members who are retiring by rotation.

Claire Bentley, Managing Director of British Airways Holidays, and Daniel Rowles, CEO of Jersey-based digital marketing consultancy Target Internet, joined the Visit Jersey Board on 24 October following the departure of Catherine Leech and Tim Crowley.

Claire Bentley Bio

Claire Bentley has worked in the travel industry for 30 years and became the managing director of British Airways Holidays in 2001. Prior to becoming MD, she held a diverse range of roles within various departments of the company, from operations and customer service to marketing and commercial. She has worked in the inbound and outbound travel sectors, bringing holidays to those travelling both into and out of the UK.

Throughout her career, Claire has developed a passion for growing the business without losing focus on a strong customer experience, which continues to be at the forefront of her leadership today.

She has led the business through significant change. Her implementation of a new strategy and technology platform has seen the business grow over 20-fold, reaching revenue of over £1bn today, becoming one of the UK’s leading tour operators.

Daniel Rowles Bio 

Daniel Rowles has been working in Digital Marketing and Digital Transformation for the past 23 years, with extensive experience working both client side and within the agency environment. He is CEO of TargetInternet.com, Programme Director for Imperial College Business School and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

He is also the voice of the Digital Marketing Podcast, a worldwide top-ten business podcast, and an award-winning author for publisher Kogan Page (Mobile Marketing, Digital Branding, Building Digital Culture, Podcast Marketing Strategy) who books have been translated into 12 languages.

Daniel has helped organisations of all types to use digital effectively, working with a wide range of travel and destination marketing brands including VisitBritain, VisitWales, Visit Scotland, Tourism South East and the Dorchester Collection. He also works with global brands like Google, Mercedes, Vodafone and Apple.
