Maritime Museum & Occupation Tapestry Gallery

An interactive experience all about the elements, navigation and seafaring where, you are led through an immersive journey of Jersey’s historical nautical background. Situated on the iconic harbour of St. Helier, you will discover songs and stories of the sea, investigate the island’s myths and legends, before deep diving into Jersey’s link to the privateers and pirates that shaped the island’s maritime past. You will also find the award-winning Occupation Tapestry that was woven by islanders to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the liberation. The 13 richly colourful panels of the tapestry depict life and hardship under military rule and were created from the memories and stories of islanders who experienced it first-
hand.

Jersey Zoo

Whether you’re after fun, tranquility, knowledge or a place to soak up the sunshine, this stunning 32-acre park with valleys, woodland and some of the world’s rarest animals is the perfect chance to experience ‘the jewel in Jersey’s crown’. Durrell Challenge! Start the 13km road race at Victoria Park in St. Helier and bound your way to the finish line at the Durrell Wildlife Conservation. Keep your eyes peeled, if you’re lucky, you might spot a wild Henry Cavill amongst the pack of runners!
