Bergerac
If visitors were fans of the original ‘Bergerac’ detective series, they’ll be excited about the ‘modern reimagining’ coming to UK screens this month.
For many, the words ‘Bergerac’ and ‘Jersey’ are synonymous. The original series stood out by blending thrilling detective stories with Jersey’s unique charm, culture and striking scenery. Jersey’s stunning beaches, quaint fishing harbours, dramatic headlands and bustling town were all used as locations.

March in Jersey heralds the onset of spring, with blossoming cherry trees and vibrant daffodils adorning coastal trails and lanes. The milder climate provides the perfect temperature to spend more time in the fresh air and try out some of the many outdoor pursuits, from cycling to hiking to cold water swimming.

The beach is at the heart of Jersey life. From sweeping sandy bays to craggy coves, there’s space to breathe and adventures to be had with over 30 bays and beaches to enjoy. Visitors can enjoy brisk walks on epic coastal paths or get active in a plethora of outdoor sports and activities, such as rip-roaring RIB rides to the offshore reefs of Les Ecréhous and Les Minquiers, or surf it up with the locals and catch a rolling wave conjured up by our strong tidal currents.

This year marks the 80th anniversary since the liberation. We’ll be sharing fascinating facts about life in Jersey during the occupation; haunting and humble personal stories from some of our island heroes who lived through that period; and details of events taking place that pay tribute to this special commemoration.

June in Jersey is a vibrant celebration of love, inclusivity and adventure. As International Pride Month takes centre stage, this year marks the 10th Anniversary of Channel Islands Pride – a milestone moment for our community.

With the launch of Jersey’s iconic 30 bays in 30 Days challenge this month, we’ll be celebrating our island’s incredible coastline (all 45 stunning miles of it!) and highlighting great things to do at the beach, at low and high tide.
