The Atlantic Hotel launches Jubilee Afternoon Tea

Publish date: 25 May 2022

To celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, The Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant’s talented pastry team have curated a very special Afternoon Tea menu.

With sandwiches ranging from Coronation chicken to smoked salmon and cream cheese and the most fabulous cakes including a traditional Victoria sponge and a Taittinger champagne trifle, this celebration Afternoon Tea is a most regal affair.

Executive Head Chef, Will Holland said:

We really wanted to do something special to mark the Platinum Jubilee and we felt the time-honoured tradition of afternoon tea was the perfect way to help our guests celebrate.  When devising the menu, we’ve included some old favourites like Victoria sponge and classic trifle but reworked them with modern twists. We’re particularly proud of a dish we’re calling ‘The Jaffa’ which is a grand macaron using the flavours of a Jaffa Cake.”

Available exclusively for the month of June, the Jubilee Afternoon Tea is served daily in the relaxed lounge or on the sun-drenched terrace with views over the hotel’s gardens and grounds and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.

A commemorative menu to mark the occasion has been created and can be taken home as a souvenir.

The Jubilee Afternoon Tea is priced at £45 per person and includes a glass of Taittinger champagne. Reservations are essential. Please visit the hotel’s website to book online or contact the Reservations Team on +44 (0) 1534 744101 or email [email protected].
