Publish date: 24 Feb 2023
Local produce is being brought into the spotlight during the Taste Jersey food festival, running from 23 March to 9 May.
Developed in partnership with the Jersey Evening Post, Taste Jersey gives local restaurants the opportunity to showcase the range of culinary styles in many of Jersey’s leading restaurants. Special menus have been designed to feature the very best of local seasonal produce. New in 2023, the participating restaurants will be treating guests to exciting new dining events and experiences. These special events include Dining in the Dark, Cocktail Masterclasses, Open Kitchen Tours, dining experiences featuring visiting Chefs and more.
Participating hotels include The Atlantic Hotel, The Club Hotel & Spa, Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, Hotel de France, The Royal Yacht, St Brelade’s Bay Hotel and L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa.
The group’s founder member and chairman, Patrick Burke, owner and Managing Director of The Atlantic Hotel, commented ‘Jersey is in a unique position to deliver a world-class gastronomic experience. We live on an Island with the most fantastic produce and, over the last 15 to 20 years, we have seen the emergence of specialist producers and suppliers who provide the quality ingredients our chefs need to create their dishes. With the excellent quality of producers and the talent of some of the finest chefs in the British Isles, we can truly celebrate all that is wonderful about the Island.’
The Taste Jersey signature event, Meet the Chefs, is taking place on 30th March at Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa. The event will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy a selection of canapes crafted and served by several of the island’s leading chefs.
